May 20: "Source-Grid-Load-Storage Intelligence Qilu Energy Gathering Forum" Held in Jinan, Shandong
At the forum, Zhang Zhen, President of the Shandong Institute of Hydrogen Energy Technology (SIHET), and Wang Yingge, Vice President of GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd., signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement.
As a national benchmark for new energy development, Shandong Province is actively advancing power system reforms and the transition to new economic drivers to build a modern energy system. The province pioneered the Implementation Rules for Source-Grid-Load-Storage Integration Pilot Projects, promoting high penetration and market-oriented operation of renewable energy through four models: local consumption, green electricity trading, virtual power plants (VPPs), and distributed self-generation/self-use.
SIHET and GoodWe Technologies will collaborate under the dual carbon goals, integrating policy resources, corporate strengths, and new energy technologies to advance cooperation in smart energy management, digital operation of photovoltaic (PV) power stations, low-carbon demonstration zones, carbon trading, and VPPs. The partnership will focus on jointly developing government-led projects, providing integrated photovoltaic-storage-hydrogen solutions, and sharing technical resources to accelerate source-grid-load-storage integration and multi-energy complementarity across Shandong and other regions. This effort aims to support national strategies for carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, and sustainable economic growth while fostering green economic development and mutual benefits.
The Shandong Institute of Hydrogen Energy Technology (SIHET) is a provincial-level R&D institution approved by the Shandong Department of Industry and Information Technology and filed with the Shandong Science and Technology Department. Co-founded by the China Electric Vehicle 100 People’s Forum and Jinan Municipal Government, SIHET was established in 2020 as Shandong’s first provincial-level research institute dedicated to hydrogen energy and related fields. It has grown into a third-party think tank and industrial innovation platform, offering policy consulting, industry exchanges, R&D, technology commercialization, talent cultivation, and demonstration projects.
